EPW Engage is looking to hire a business manager who can:
1.Translate EPW’s strategic goals for EPW Engage
2.Design business models to address the wider digital publishing community
3.Define key metrics to monitor and measure effectiveness of the features and functions of the EPW’s Digital publishing platform
The core functions for the business manager will entail:
1.Working closely with the Digital Editor and General Manager to develop content and distribution strategies.
2.Working closely with web designers, programmers and application developments teams
3.Gathering and analysing information on audiences, subscriptions, sales, website traffic patterns and competing websites.
4.Shepherd new features from conception to production
5.Website maintenance
6.Write specifications, product backlogs, functional requirements and define key milestones
Qualifications
1.At least 3+ years’ experience in in digital product management.
2.Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Suite.
3.Domain knowledge, including core web technologies and the ability to effectively participate in discussions.
4.Experience in academic publishing or media would be ideal.

The candidate should :
1.Be a graduate with an interest in the social sciences
2.Have good communication skills, both oral and written
3.Be computer literate with a fair understanding of databases and new technologies
4.Be able to translate EPW’s strategic goals for both the print and digital editions
5.Cover all aspects of the journal’s circulation with a special focus on planning, execution and follow-up of circulation promotion efforts
6.Be able to learn quickly and assume independent charge of the circulation department
7.Direct, inspire, and mentor the circulation department to increase sales and subscriptions and also identify new revenue streams
